Key Lime Pie


KEY LIME PIE
Kneaders Bakery & Cafe Restaurant Recipe

Crust:
1 1/2 cups crushed pretzels
3 tablespoons sugar
6 tablespoons melted butter

Lime Filling:
1 teaspoon lime zest
4 egg yolks
1/2 cup lime juice
1 can sweet and condensed milk

Mix the pretzels, sugar and butter.  Press into bottom of pie pan and bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. 

In a separate bowl. Whip egg yolks with the lime zest for 2 minutes. Add condensed milk and juice, and mix. Let the mixture sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes, or until it thickens. 
Pour into pie crust and bake for an additional 30 minutes. Chill. Serve with whipped cream.
